Industrial Electrical Enclosures and Electrical Cabinets
Electrical Enclosure
What is an electrical enclosure? An electrical enclosure, also called an electrical box or cabinet, houses and protects electrical equipment such as switching devices, capacitor banks, control equipment and measuring instruments.
Common materials include powder-coated steel, stainless steel, aluminium alloy and composite materials.

Typical dimensions
- Width: 200–800 mm; expandable by joining modules.
- Height: 200–2,300 mm.
- Depth: 120–1,000 mm.
- Material thickness: 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 mm.
- Colours: cream, grey, orange or the natural material finish.

Industrial Electrical Cabinets
Industrial electrical cabinets are essential for distributing power and protecting equipment in industrial electrical systems. They are designed for demanding operating conditions in factories, workshops and industrial zones.
Cabinets are selected according to their function, including capacitor-bank cabinets, switchgear cabinets, motor-control and motor-protection cabinets, and distribution cabinets.
Capacitor-bank cabinets improve power factor, helping reduce energy consumption and improve production efficiency. Switchgear cabinets control motors, pumps and fans. Motor-protection cabinets protect motors from overload, short circuit and other faults. Distribution cabinets distribute electricity to equipment throughout the system.
Safe, reliable operation requires professional design and installation, with regular inspection and maintenance.

Selection and Manufacturing
The Sun manufactures electrical enclosures and cabinets to project requirements. Selection should consider indoor or outdoor installation, IP protection level, equipment layout, cable entry, ventilation, corrosion resistance and maintenance access.
Powder-coated steel is an economical indoor solution. Hot-dip galvanized steel and stainless steel provide higher corrosion resistance for humid, outdoor, food, chemical or demanding environments. Modular construction supports future expansion.
