Cable Tray Drawings and Accessories
Drawings are used to confirm construction, dimensions, hole locations, connections and installation direction. Approved project documents and actual site conditions govern final fabrication.
Straight Cable Tray Drawings and Connection Details
A straight cable tray is normally a formed channel with side rails and a base. Key dimensions include:
- W: tray width.
- H: side height.
- L: section length, commonly 2.5 m or as required.
- T: material thickness.
- Hole pattern: for joining, supports or covers.
- Connection detail: splice plates, bolts and compatible fittings.
Hole patterns and joint hardware must be coordinated within the same tray system. State any site cutting, special opening or non-standard installation detail before production.
Accessory Drawings: Bends, Tees and Crosses
Accessories change route direction, elevation or provide branches. Common types are horizontal bends, risers, drops, tees, crosses, reducers and splice pieces. For each item specify matching W×H, bend angle or radius, orientation, material/finish and quantity.

State product type, material or finish, W, H, T, L, quantity and required cover or accessories.
Accessory order description
State fitting type, matching W×H, direction/radius, material/finish and quantity.

- Width, side height, thickness and length.
- Material and finish: powder-coated, pre-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, stainless steel or aluminium.
- Cable load, support spacing and environment.
- Route plans, elevations, branches and turning points.
- Quantity, delivery location and required schedule.
- Project drawings, bill of quantities and technical documents.
